From Temporary Shelter to Permanent Change

Emergency shelters serve a vital purpose - but they’re never the end goal. At The Respond2Grace Foundation, we focus on transformation that leads to permanent change, not temporary comfort.

When someone enters our care, we see beyond their immediate crisis. We ask: What’s blocking your future? What skills, healing, or support do you need to never return to housing insecurity again? We walk through those answers with grace and accountability.

According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, over 70% of people exiting shelters will return within two years if wraparound services aren’t provided. That’s why our programs offer more than a roof- we offer life coaching, community support, counseling, and discipleship.

Jesus told the healed man in John 5: “Get up, pick up your mat, and walk.” We’re not just giving people a mat - we’re helping them walk.

After completing our program, over 80% of participants report stable housing, employment, and spiritual growth within one year. Transformation is possible - and we’re watching it unfold every day.

We believe change is real. And with the right support, it lasts.
